3.8 Magnitude Quake Strikes Near Brentwood

BLACKHAWK (CBS SF) -- A magnitude 3.8 quake struck in the East Bay Saturday evening.

The 3.8 temblor struck about 7.5 miles SSW of Brentwood at about 6:29 according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Its depth was about 11 miles.

So far, there were no reports of damages or injuries.

According to the USGS, the quake was on the Greenville Fault, "probably the least well understood fault in the San Francisco Bay region."
