San Jose Police Program Aims To Cut Truancy, Daytime Burglaries

San Jose police have restarted a program to coincide with the beginning of the new school year intended to reduce both truancy and daytime burglaries, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Concord Approves Tough New Anti-Truancy Curfew

The City of Concord Tuesday night approved one of the strictest daytime curfew laws in the Bay Area, unanimously passing a law making it illegal for any child to be in public during normal school hours.
