Bay Area residents felt biting cold temperatures again on Thursday as a cold snap led to traffic mishaps, airport delays and increased concern over Northern California’s citrus crop.

Black Ice Blamed For Pileup In Berkeley Hills

Black ice caused several cars to loose traction near the Claremont Resort early Monday. The pileup began when one driver lost control and slammed a nearby car.



Black Ice Blamed In 2 Crashes On San Pablo Dam Road

Black ice on the roadway caused two crashes on San Pablo Dam Road between Richmond and Orinda Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Leaky Hercules Pipe Causes Black Ice, Shuts Down Highway 4

A leaky pipe caused icy conditions and multiple car crashes this morning, prompting authorities to close down part of westbound state Highway 4 in unincorporated Hercules until later Saturday, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
