California Breaks Ground On High-Speed Rail Project; Doubts Remain Over 1st-In-Nation System

California’s high-speed rail project became the first in the nation to break ground on Tuesday, aiming to whisk travelers at 200 mph between Los Angeles and San Francisco in less than three hours.

Amtrak, California To Team Up On High-Speed Rail

The two biggest players in the nation’s pursuit of high-speed rail say they’ll work together to search for trains that will operate at up to 220 miles per hour along both coasts of the United States.
