Carlos Rogers Renews Bad Blood With Victor Cruz

The match up to watch on Sunday will be Carlos Rogers vs. Victor Cruz. As with San Francisco and New York both are very talented and have developed a bit of a rivalry since Rogers mocked Cruz’s touchdown celebration. This will mark the 3rd time the two have faced each other with both winning a previous meeting. Whichever player gets the better of their opponent Sunday will give their team a great chance at winning the game.

Rogers Eager to Build On Big 2011 Season With 49ers

Carlos Rogers is eager to be around his San Francisco teammates this week as the NFC West champions prepare for what they hope is another run at a Super Bowl after it was right within reach last season.

49ers Release Cornerback Shawntae Spencer

The 49ers released the cornerback Thursday after he spent eight seasons with the team. The 30-year-old Spencer started every game in 2009 and 2010 but appeared in only nine games with no starts for coach Jim Harbaugh and the NFC West champions last season.

GameDay: 49ers Would Re-Sign Players, Notes And Quotes

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh told me today that the team would look into re-signing players before the season ends. This season is unusual because of the work stoppage which forced free agents to sign last-minute deals, most for one year.

GameDay: Looking Back To New Orleans And Ahead To The Battle Of The Bay

My plan was to take in some Blues in the French Quarter after our broadcast of the 49ers game. As it turned out, I didn’t have to wait that long. The blues started at kickoff and lasted until the final gun.
