9-Year-Old Marin County Girl Loses Vote To Have Pet Chickens In Backyard

A 9-year-old Kentfield girl who has pet chickens in her backyard has lost a referendum involving Kent Woodlands Property Owners Association members to change neighborhood rules to keep the birds.

Outpouring Of Donations After Concord Schoolyard Chickens Are Killed

The chicken coop at El Monte Elementary School in Concord is empty now after someone broke in and strangled Linny and Maxine, two of six pet chickens that the children used to watch during recess.
