Over a hundred supporters camped out overnight in front of a new Chick-fil-A location in San Jose in anticipation of the store’s grand opening.
The Chick-fil-A location at 53 Headquarters Drive will be the second chicken sandwich restaurant in the Bay Area once they open Thursday morning.
According to the Marin Independent Journal, the Atlanta-based chain has purchased the Carl’s Jr. site on Rowland Way in Novato this July, with plans to remodel and open as a Chick-fil-A sometime over the next two years.
Supporters of same-sex marriage planned to lock lips Friday afternoon in front of a Fairfield Chick-fil-A, and locations across the nation.
Chick-fil-A supporters were eating at the chicken chain’s restaurants Wednesday as the company continues to be criticized for an executive taking a public position against same-sex marriage.
