Homeless College Student Living In Van With Mom Helps Convince Palo Alto To Overturn Car Camping Ban
The City of Palo Alto just made life a little easier for one young college student, who is working to turn his life around. He lives in a minivan with his mother and told KPIX 5 things can only get better from here.
Residents who would prefer to get some exercise outside instead of at a fitness club or other indoor facility can still enjoy workouts at some of the best outdoor tracks in the Peninsula, all of which have free access. While these outdoor tracks may not be available at all times due to athletic events associated with each facility, running and walking on a track is definitely far safer than on city streets and dirt trails with uneven surfaces.
The president’s $8 billion plan would link community college students with local businesses, a plan that was based in part on research done by a working group that included Foothill College President Judy Miner.
