Vandals Trash San Francisco’s Glen Park BART Station During Strike

Authorities are searching for several people suspected of vandalizing vacant BART stations while workers went on strike. The Glen Park station in San Francisco suffered the worst damage by taggers during the walkout.

As the BART strike continues, the collateral damage can be seen everywhere. I decided to take a walk around one of areas among those likely hardest hit by this strike—Glen Park. The San Francisco neighborhood is like a small village in the urban landscape, full of mom-and-pop stores. Glen Park depends on the roughly 15 thousand riders who use its BART station.

BART Train Fatally Hits Person At San Francisco Glen Park Station

A person was struck by a Bay Area Rapid Transit train at the Glen Park station in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon, an agency spokeswoman said.
