Kim Chambers of San Francisco completed her historic swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge just after 5 p.m., Saturday. Until now, the cold shark-infested, 30-mile swim had only been done by men.

Boaters Urged To Stay Clear Of Whale & Calf In San Francisco Bay

A gray whale mother and calf were spotted in San Francisco Bay again Thursday morning, and officials from the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary were warning boaters to give them a wide berth.
