10 Arrested During San Francisco ’420′ Smokeouts

Ten people were arrested during impromptu marijuana celebrations in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Sunday for offenses ranging from selling marijuana or opiates to mischief and carrying a gun, police said Monday.

Among the thousands of people who gathered in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park near the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood for an unofficial celebration of all things marijuana Sunday, at least eight people were arrested for felonies, a police spokeswoman said.
