Gaps In California Radiation Monitoring Revealed

In California, home to two seaside nuclear plants located close to earthquake fault lines, federal officials said four of the 11 stationary monitors were offline for repairs or maintenance last week.

Japanese Nuclear Release Not Expected To Reach California

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission said that even if the Japanese reactors go into full meltdown, no dangerous levels of radiation are expected to reach the United States.
