Caltrans is warning riders that a paving project on the 580 to I-80 maze connection will cause hours of rerouting overnight for the next few weeks.
The City of Vallejo has $2.5 million to put toward more officers on the streets, but those funds will soon be diverted to repaving because the city can’t find qualified candidates to take the jobs.
Officials said they remain on schedule to reopen Doyle Drive at 5 a.m. on Monday morning.

The Devil’s Slide tunnel project is expected to mark a milestone on Thursday as paving nears completion. The tunnel is set to open to traffic later this year.
