Police said Wednesday that no criminal charges will be filed after a care worker’s attention-grabbing refusal to perform CPR on a resident of a Central California independent-living facility.
The company whose employee refused to administer CPR to a dying woman said Tuesday that the employee wrongly interpreted its policy. But the elderly woman’s family said she would not have wanted life-prolonging aid.
Police on Monday were investigating whether there was any criminal wrongdoing in the handling of a health emergency at an independent living facility where a woman died after a nurse refused to provide CPR.
