The U.S. Postal Service issued a new limited edition “Forever” stamp Tuesday, honoring the late poet, author and civil rights champion Maya Angelou, but it carries a quote that apparently originated elsewhere.
The United States Postal Service announced a Janis Joplin Forever stamp will go on sale for the first time at Outside Lands this weekend to celebrate the singer’s historic connection to San Francisco.
The stamp with Milk’s laughing face, name and a small strip of the rainbow flag, first became available this morning at post offices throughout San Francisco and nationwide.
Late Apple founder Steve Jobs is getting his own stamp thanks to a tribute from the U.S. Postal Service. The stamps will be available to put on “snail mail” that the entrepreneur helped reduce the need for in 2015.
