A U.S. Coast Guard crew from San Francisco helped bring 25 kiteboarders and windsurfers in distress in the waters off of Crissy Field to safety Sunday evening.
The National Weather Service posted a high-surf advisory for Northern California between Monterey and the Sonoma Coast because of large swells and so-called “sneaker waves.”
