Torres’ Goal Gives Sharks Shootout Win Over Kings

Antti Niemi stopped Jeff Carter on a 2-on-1 in overtime and then was perfect in the shootout to help the San Jose Sharks move into a tie for fourth place in the Western Conference with a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.

Sharks Outlast Avalanche 3-2 In Shootout

Patrick Marleau scored in the fourth round of the shootout, Antti Niemi stopped three shots in the final session and the San Jose Sharks showed signs of coming out of a monthlong slump with a 3-2 victory.
