Casey Kasem, the internationally famous radio broadcaster who became the king of the top 40 countdown with a syndicated show that ran for decades, died Sunday.
“Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars,” was Casey Kasem’s famous tag line. Today, his daughter received a judge’s permission to remove life support for the 82 year old American Top 40 host.
Casey Kasem was located in Washington state on Thursday, three days after a Los Angeles judge expressed concerns about the ailing radio host’s whereabouts and safety.
The world knows him as the “American Top 40” countdown voice, but now the world is looking for Casey Kasem after the ill radio personality’s wife announced he had been removed from Los Angeles without her or his family’s, knowledge and could be outside the United States.
