Australian Woman, Oregon Man Win Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon In San Francisco

Australia’s Ashleigh Gentle and Portland, Oregon’s Eric Lagerstrom won Sunday’s 35th annual Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco, a spokeswoman for the race said.

Former Olympian Andy Potts won the 27.5-mile Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon Sunday for a record sixth time as more than 2,000 people swam from Alcatraz Island, rode bikes and ran through San Francisco, a spokeswoman said.
