Silicon Valley venture capitalist Mark Stevens has purchased the minority stake in the Golden State Warriors previously held by new Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive.
Landry signed his four-year, $26 million deal Monday. He is the first free agent to sign under new owner Vivek Ranadive, who had held a minority stake in the Golden State Warriors—where Landry played last season—until buying the Kings in May.
The NBA Board of Governors unanimously approved the sale of the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday to a group led by TIBCO Software chairman Vivek Ranadive. The league said in a statement that the “transaction is expected to close shortly.”
