Calling all singles! Are you looking for ways to enjoy Valentine's Day your way, share friendship, learn something new and just have fun on a day retailers say is meant for two? Love yourself first on Valentine's Day and have fun with Number One! Here are five Valentine's Day suggestions just right for singles and friends.

SF Pillow Fight Day
Justin Herman Plaza
1 Market Street
San Francisco, CA 94105
Date: Feb. 14, 2015

Started in 2006, this now annual pillow-thrashing event has become whatever you make of it, and as the song goes, "What's love got to do with it?" What began as an intimate but rigorous tit-for-tat pillow toss has become a fierce pillow fight-club ritual that both lovers and lover-wannabes flock to. Come prepared with pillow weapons at the ready for a feathery, fierce, party-like event that leaves many floggers in tears of some sort, generally from laughter as pillow fighters lovingly bash each other until the whistle blows to stop.

Tips From Organizers:

  • Bring a mask or bandana/scarf to cover your mouth – flying feathers can choke you.
  • Bring a synthetic pillow (not with feathers) – it really is more fun that way. Boo feathers!
  • Bring a garbage bag – have fun and then clean up after yourselves. Help keep the city clean and the cops away.
  • Build up arm strength before the event – your arms will definitely be sore. Trust those who have done this before, and be strong.
