Q: Cool car Brooke. How long have you owned it?
A: For about three years.
Q: What’s your car’s main use?
A: I spend probably almost an hour a day commuting to work and back. Commuting is it’s main use.
Q: Where do you commute?
A: Just around San Francisco, depending on what job I’m driving to.
Q: What’s your favorite or worst part of your commute?
A: The worst is just sitting in traffic. Favorite is just getting to drive around with my music on.
Q: Do you ever rock out or sing along to music in your car?
A: Oh yeah! My friends and I get our rock on in this car.
Q: Where did you get your car?
A: My brother’s motocross sponsor did a straight with me for my SUV when I moved to the city. See, Ford sponsors my brother, so it’s his Ford dealer that I got the car from, but for some reason they had gotten this Acura in their lot, so he did a trade with me. I had a 2002 Denali and he did a straight trade through for this car, so I didn’t have to pay anything for it.
Q: What’s your favorite day trip from home?
A: I love driving back to Tahoe on Highway 50 just because it’s a fun drive with this car. Yeah because obviously the 50 has a lot more bends and corners than the 80 and this car handles the curves through Tahoe a little bit better than an SUV does.
Q: Do you have a favorite or memorable time you took that trip?
A: A very memorable time—maybe not my favorite—was when there was two feet of snow on the road. I had to put chains on, and I watched three cars flip over in front of me.
Q: Wow, sounds pretty intense. Were you alone?
A: Yeah, I was actually alone for that drive. That was an interesting one.
Q: Do you have any rules in your car?
A: No eating because I’m very clean so I don’t like when people eat in my car. Absolutely no smoking because I’m against smoking anyways. No drinking alcohol in my car for obvious reasons. I’d rather not get a ticket in California for that. That’s about it. I’m picky about who I let drive my car though.
Q: If your car had a human emotion what would it be and why?
A: Feisty, I don’t know actually. That was just the first word that came to mind.
Q: Well do you think it could be a self-description of the owner?
A: Maybe halfway and then halfway the people who ride in it.
Q: Is there anything else we should know about your car?
A: It’s a pain to park in the city because it is long, since I have a front and back end on it. Yeah so it’s hard to find parking places that it fits in. So word to the wise, if you buy a car in San Francisco, make sure it’s short, no matter what it is!
