SACRAMENTO (AP) – A Democratic congressman from the East Bay is maintaining a slight lead over his Republican challenger, with thousands of ballots still uncounted.

The secretary of state’s office on Friday reported that the district’s four counties have more than 376,000 absentee and provisional ballots left to process. The district includes parts of those counties.READ MORE: 'In the Heights' Delights at First Pride Movie Night at Oracle Park
Local election officials say the outstanding ballots will add at least 15,000 votes to the 11th District tally.
