Man Pleads Not Guilty In Los Gatos Elderly Priest Beating

SAN JOSE (AP) -- A San Francisco man has pleaded not guilty to assaulting a Jesuit priest he says molested him more than three decades ago.

Will Lynch entered the plea Tuesday in Santa Clara Superior Court. He is charged with one count of assault for allegedly beating up 65-year-old Jerold Lindner earlier this year.

KCBS' Matt Bigler Reports:

Lynch's attorney, Pat Harris, said his client intends to take the case to trial.

Lindner has repeatedly denied molesting Lynch and his little brother in 1975 during a weekend camping trip in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Lynch is accused of tracking Lindner to his Los Gatos retirement home in May and beating him bloody in front of shocked witnesses.
