Suspect Sketch Released In Teen's San Jose Hit-And-Run Dragging
SAN JOSE (BCN) - San Jose police have released a sketch of the man they suspect was involved in a hit-and-run early Sunday morning that seriously injured an 18-year-old woman.
The victim, Erika Luna, was walking in the area of Tierra Buena Drive and Fontaine Road about 2:40 a.m. Sunday when she was struck by a gray SUV or minivan, according to police.
Luna was dragged about 1,900 feet and was taken to San Jose Regional Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition today.
She suffered a crushed hip and injuries to her left leg, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle is believed to be a man in his early to mid 30s, with black hair that is short on top with faded sides. He has a medium to dark complexion and a mustache with a split in the middle, according to police.
He was driving a newer silver or gray SUV or minivan with a black roof rack. The vehicle possibly has damage to the left front bumper, along the left undercarriage, and the left wheel wells, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the driver. Luna's family is also contributing a $5,000 reward.
