Actress Anika Noni Rose Performs in San Francisco for 'One Night Only'

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - She was the voice of the first African American Disney Princess, Princess Tiana, in The Princess and the Frog. She was one of the Dream Girls along side Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson. She was recently seen in Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls, a performance she received rave reviews for. And she is also a Tony Award winner for her role in Tony Kushner's Broadway show Caroline, or Change. Actress and singer Anika Noni Rose is in town this weekend for a special "one night only" performance at the Venetian.

She also has a re-occurring role in the current television show, The Good Wife. So between the small screen, big screen, and stage she keeps herself quite busy!

San Francisco is 'home' to Rose because this is where she received her training - right here at the American Conservatory Theater.

Bay Area Cabaret presents Rose in 'Vintage Rose' this Sunday at the historic Venetian Room in San Francisco. This intimate evening will feature songs made famous by Blossom Dearie, Lena Horne, and other legendary artists.
