Man Arrested In Hercules Home Invasion Pot Robbery

HERCULES (CBS SF) - Police have arrested one of multiple suspects who tied up three victims inside of a Hercules residence on Thursday, before attempting to steal a large container of marijuana.

At about 4:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a woman screaming at a home in the 100 block of Pierce Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Hercules resident Joseph Turner outside of the residence, holding a large container of marijuana that he had taken from the home, according to police.

Three victims with bound hands and feet were discovered inside the house, officers said.

According to the victims, multiple men had barged into the home, brandished handguns and ransacked the residence, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Police arrested Turner after a victim positively identified him as one of the burglars.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Hercules police Detective Alex Abetkov at (510) 799-8279.
