OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Two suspects in an Oakland shooting were taken into custody by police after a California Highway Patrol pursuit Monday morning, an Oakland police officer said.

A man and a woman were detained by Oakland police in connection with a shooting that was reported in the 4500 block of International Boulevard at about 1 a.m., Oakland police Officer J. Moore said.

The victim, a man who suffered a gunshot wound, was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Moore said.

It appears the two suspects fled the scene of the shooting and led CHP officers on a pursuit nearby, he said. Moore said he did not have any more information about the chase since the Oakland Police Department was not involved.
