Man Jailed In Fatal Beating Of San Rafael Woman In Her Home

SAN RAFAEL (CBS/AP) - San Rafael police have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman who was brutally beaten in her home.

51-year-old Robert Lee Bradley was arrested on suspicion of murder Sunday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

San Rafael police Sgt. Jim Correa said Bradley is suspected of beating a 46-year-old woman to death in her San Rafael early Friday.

Correa said the victim suffered blunt-force trauma to the face. Her name was not immediately released.

Police determined the suspect and victim were recently in a dating relationship.

Bradley was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and making criminal threats after he allegedly stole an item and threatened to kill two clerks at a 7-Eleven store shortly before the victim's body was found by police.
