BALTIMORE (CBS SF) – A lesbian actress who starred in “The L-Word” says she was escorted off of a Southwest Airlines flight for kissing her girlfriend.

Leisha Hailey on Monday took to Twitter to call for a boycott of the carrier after a flight attendant told them other passengers had complained.

Hailey tweeted, “Since when is showing affection to someone you love illegal?”

Southwest responded on its website that Hailey was approached “based solely on behavior and not gender.”

The actress and a band mate from the group Uh Huh Her were on a flight from Baltimore to St. Louis.

Earlier this month the airline kicked off the lead singer of Bay Area band, Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong for wearing his pants too low. As well as immediate ejection of Deshon Marman during a July 15th incident where Marmon failed to pull up his baggy pants per the request of U.S. Airways flight attendant.

There is no problem with showing affection, yet when it becomes a love fest then yes they should be approached. I really don’t care if it was gay or straight affection, to much is to much. Some people need to confine there actions that may be offensive to themselves. I also feel some Gay people push the limit to make a statement and eventually they will try this in the wrong place and may fine themselves in a pickle and not the way they want it…lol

P.S. Saw two men going at it one hundred in a straight bar the other night, several people wanted to stomp them to the ground. Be careful where you make your stand, life can be very unforgiving.
