Police Patrol Martinez School After Threatening Email Sent

MARTINEZ (CBS SF) - A high school in Martinez was the target of a threatening email sent earlier this week that has police increasing their presence on campus Friday.

The threat was directed to Alhambra High School in an email sent Wednesday to an employee at the Martinez Unified School District, police said.

The email appears to be randomly sent to the district employee.

Police have not uncovered any information that lends credibility to the threat, but are dedicating additional personnel to the campus Friday to ensure that students are safe.

Anyone with information about the threat is encouraged to call Martinez police dispatch at (925) 372-3440.
