Rain Causes Flight Delays At San Francisco International

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Rainy weather in the Bay Area is causing some delays on arriving flights at San Francisco International Airport Sunday morning.

As of 11 a.m., domestic arrivals were facing 45-minute delays on average, Doug Yakel, the airport's on-duty manager said.

Some departing flights are also set back slightly due to the delayed arrivals.

Yakel called the delays "par for the course" for inclement weather and are likely to lessen as the rain tapers off later in the day.

He advised those heading to the airport to contact airline companies to check for up-to-date arrival and departure times.
