SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A man was shot while waiting for a friend near San Francisco State University on Wednesday night, San Francisco police said.

The shooting was reported at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Arballo Drive.

The 25-year-old victim was approached by a suspect who shot him in the leg. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
