OAKLAND (KCBS) — Bicyclists in Oakland will soon have some more protection from motorists.
The City Council this week approved new bike lanes on a number of major streets. The new lanes will be on Broadway between 38th Street to Broadway Terrace, and on East 12th Street from 14th Avenue to Fruitvale Avenue.READ MORE: FDA Clears Johnson & Johnson's Single-Dose COVID-19 Vaccine for Immediate Use

MacArthur Boulevard will go from four lanes to two from Richards Road to Seminary Avenue to make way for those bike lanes.
