2-Alarm Grass Fire Near Brentwood
BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- A two-alarm grass fire is burning near Brentwood Saturday afternoon, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.
The fire was reported at 1:53 p.m. near Albers Court and Deer Valley Road, the dispatcher said.
The 30-acre blaze has since grown to 50 acres as of 2:45 p.m. and is spreading at a moderate pace, fire officials said.
Contra Costa County fire crews are assisting the East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and Cal Fire has also been called to the blaze, the dispatcher said.
