Pregnant Woman Injured During East Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A pregnant woman sustained minor injuries from broken glass during a shooting in East Oakland Tuesday afternoon, according to Oakland police.

Police received a report of a shooting in the 5800 block of East 16th Street, near 57th Avenue, at 3:22 p.m.

The victim was assessed by medical personnel and chose not to be transported to the hospital. She said she was seated inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting, according to police.

Police located another vehicle and three residences that were also struck by the gunfire.

The shooting remained under investigation, police said.
