LOS ANGELES (CBS Sports) — The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to call up former San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson this weekend. The team has not yet confirmed anything, however.

“When we bring him up, we’ll let you know,” said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly. “I didn’t say he wasn’t ready … All the reports are good. There’s really nothing negative about Brian at this point.”

Wilson, 31, signed a one-year contract with Los Angeles last month. He’s made four tune-up appearances in their minor league system, allowing just one base-runner while striking out three in 4 1/3 innings.
