MOUNTAIN VIEW (CBS SF) — A puppy that was taken from a locked vehicle in Mountain View Saturday was returned after reports circulated in the media and online.

Uso, a 9-week-old Chiweenie/pit bull mix, was turned in Sunday in good shape, police said.

The return appears to have been triggered by reports in local media and on social media websites, police said.

He had been taken Saturday from a locked vehicle on the 1300 block of Villa Street between 2:30 and 2:44 p.m., according to police.
