Woman Killed In Shooting At Antioch Skating Rink

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- An early morning shooting at a skating rink at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds has left one woman dead and two men wounded, a sheriff's spokesman said.

At about 1:35 a.m., the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department and Antioch police responded to reports of a shooting at the Paradise Skate roller rink, which is located in Antioch at 1201 West 10th St., sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

There was an "Adult Late Night Skate Jam" taking place at the rink when a fight broke out outside, Lee said.

Arriving deputies found a 31-year-old woman and two male victims who had been shot, Lee said.

The woman was taken to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch where she died from her wound, Lee said.

The two male victims were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. They were expected to survive, Lee said.

Detectives were continuing to search for a motive and interview witnesses Sunday, he said.

The woman's identity has not been released.
