Woman Walking In SF's Nob Hill Hit By Car, Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Emergency crews responded to a report of a woman struck by a car in San Francisco's Nob Hill neighborhood Tuesday morning, a fire spokeswoman said.

The woman was hit around 11 a.m. near Polk and Clay streets, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Crews had just arrived at the scene around 11:10 a.m. and the woman's injuries were still being assessed, she said.

The crash took place just after SFPD revealed new statistics that show an increase in pedestrians being hit by vehicles in recent years.
