Harding Park Hosting Final Champions Tour Event Of Season

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - San Francisco is hosting the season-ending tournament for the Champions Tour, with golfers teeing off today at the start of the four-day Charles Schwab Cup Championship at TPC Harding Park.

Among those in the 30-man field, which consists of golfers age 50 and older, are Kenny Perry, Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Mark O'Meara and Tom Lehman.

Along with the tournament trophy and a $440,000 first-place prize, the golfers are also vying for a $1 million bonus in the season-long Charles Schwab Cup points race. Perry will clinch the bonus if he finishes at least fifth at Harding Park.

One-day tickets for the event cost $20, while tickets for the whole week are $50. Youths and military veterans get in for free, organizers said.

General parking for the event is at the Stonestown Galleria Mall and costs $10. Fans will be taken by complimentary shuttles to the course.

Bike racks will be provided at the main entrance to the course, at Sunset Circle off of Lake Merced Boulevard.

More information about the event can be found online.
