Late Spring Snow Showers Blanket Lake Tahoe

LAKE TAHOE (CBS SF) — Summer is right around the corner, but the Sierra Nevada Mountains say otherwise.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until 2 p.m Tuesday as a winter storm dusts light to moderate snow across the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Truckee, South Lake Tahoe and Incline Village are among the areas hit. Snow is expected to mix with rain at lake level by the afternoon, creating icy conditions and impacting highway passes through the evening.
