California Chrome Inks Endorsement Deal With Skechers

YUBA CITY (CBS) -- Who says a horse can't land a clothing endorsement? And, a shoe deal, at that?

Skechers has sponsored triple Crown contender California Chrome.

No word on the actual dollar amount, but deal with the chestnut thoroughbred is reportedly the biggest marketing deal -- ever -- in horse racing.

Sources say Skechers won't actually be giving CC any shoes, but the company logo will figure prominently on trainer and owner team jackets, caps, apparel, horse gear and blankets.
