San Anselmo Couple Set Out To Row From California To Hawaii
SAN ANSELMO (CBS SF) -- A San Anselmo couple set out on the open ocean Wednesday in an attempt to row from California all the way to Hawaii.
Married couple Meredith Loring and Sami Inkinen left the Bay Area with hopes of breaking three world records along the way.
The 2,400-mile journey is expected to take about two months. They are hoping to complete the trip before their fourth wedding anniversary in August.
Only twelve people have completed a Pacific rowing crossing.
