OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Sharpshooting Golden State Warrior guards Klay Thompson and Steph Curry will be among 19 NBA stars competing to represent the United States for the 2014 Basketball World Cup, making ‘the Dubs’ the lone team to land two players on the roster.
The squad will practice in Las Vegas, and be whittled down to a final roster during an exhibition tour leading up to the World Cup, which begins in Spain on August 30th. Curry was on the team in 2010 when Team USA won the FIBA World Championship. Now entering his peak years as a professional, Curry seems poised to play an increased role for the team.
