Stanford Ranked As Most LGBT-Friendly University
PALO ALTO (CBS SF) - The Princeton Review released its annual survey of the nation's best colleges this week, and found Stanford University as the most LGBT-Friendly campus in the country.
Students were surveyed on 130,00 students attending the 379 colleges ranked in the publication, which uses the results to rank schools on 62 different characteristics ranging from best college theater to most politically active students (surprise - Cal didn't crack the top 20).
The Ranking found that Stanford was the only Northern California university to earn the top 20 gay-friendly designation. No local schools landed on the Most LGBT-Unfriendly List.
Stanford landed on several other lists, including Top Entrepreneurial Colleges and most loved by students.
