Movie Theater Reopens In Lodi After Bed Bug Infestation Forces Closure

LODI (CBS SF) -- A movie theater in Lodi reopened Thursday after a bed bug infestation shut it down.

Two girls who went to the theater woke up covered in painful bed bug bites last Friday.

The pests were found in the theater's seats, forcing the closure.

Patrons showed up for a matinee Thursday to support the theater after exterminators said it was safe to reopen.

"It's alright, I'll do it. But, they said it's okay to reopen, so hopefully it is," Tara Crane said.

Theater management says they will have regular inspections to make sure the bugs don't come back.
