POLLOCK PINES (CBS) — The massive King Fire in the Sierra Foothill is still spreading, but not as fast.

The blaze has grown to more than 80,000 acres, about 126 square miles. At least 4 homes have been destroyed and 2800 people have been driven from their homes. Cal Fire said up to 12,000 more homes could still be in danger.

The fire is only 10% contained. It spread over another six square miles overnight. Five-thousand firefighters spent Saturday trying to shore up containment lines.

The fire is affecting air quality as far as Lake Tahoe. Smoke can be seen over the mountains at the Heavenly Valley Ski Resort.
