San Francisco's Jose Ortega Elementary School Briefly Evacuated After Bomb Threat

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A San Francisco elementary school was briefly evacuated Monday morning due to a bomb threat.

Police were able to clear the scene at Jose Ortega Elementary School on 400 Sargent Street in the city's Ingleside neighborhood by 11 a.m. after San Francisco fire crews said an alarm was pulled at 8:08 a.m.

"SFPD's specialized units were dispatched to the scene," said SFPD's Gordon Shyy.

All of the students, faculty and staff were able to safely evacuate and then allowed back into their classrooms after police investigated.
