FREMONT (CBS SF) — A Fremont woman who police say provided alcohol to teenagers during a party at her house last year before a DUI wreck that killed a teenage passenger has been arrested, police said.
42-year-old Tabassum Yousuf was arrested at her home on Tuesday and charged with one count of felony involuntary manslaughter and two counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Fremont Police.READ MORE: Panel Selects Archie Willams as New Name for Drake High in Marin County
On October 27, 2013, three Fremont teens were involved in a DUI crash on Durham Road where a 17-year-old male passenger died of his injuries. Fremont Police said an ongoing investigation involving witness statements, financial records and other evidence led them to conclude Yousuf had bought the liquor and provided it to the teens involved in the crash during a large party at her home.MORE NEWS: Evacuations Ordered as Wildfire Burns in Butte County North of Chico
Yousuf was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at Fremont Superior Courthouse.
